India cancels Indo-Pak foreign ministers’ level meet

New Delhi (Global Nation News Desk):  The government of India taking a big decision has decided to cancel the India-Pakistan dialogue, scheduled to be held in New York. The meeting was to be held between foreign minister Sushma Swaraj and her Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

The Government of India has made it clear that the meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries in New York does not make a sense. No talk is possible amid terror. The Government of India has cited the killing of three policemen in Jammu and Kashmir and the release of a postal stamp on Kashmiri militant Burhan Wani as the reasons for the calling off the meeting.

This talk was proposed on the request of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan. Khan wrote a letter to resume the dialogue between the two countries. As a goodwill gesture, the Government of India decided to hold the meeting.   The Indian Foreign Ministry on Thursday had announced that there will be a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan in New York.  But the agenda of the dialogue was not fixed.
