New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected all the interim applications filed by the individuals and groups for seeking permission to intervene in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi land dispute case. A total of 18 applications wishing to intervene in the land dispute case as a party, were dismissed by the apex court.    The three-judge bench of Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Sajjad A Nazeer pronounced this decision. The Bench accepted the plea that only original litigants of the land dispute case should be allowed to argue in the case. The Bench said that all petitions filed for the intervention of persons unrelated to this case should be rejected. The Supreme Court also rejected BJP leader Subramanian Swamy's plea for intervention in this dispute.

The definition of affordable housing has been changed. Now the area of 30 Square Metre in four metropolitan cities and 30 Square Metre for the rest of country will be counted as carpet area instead of built-up area. The completion period has also been extended to 5 years from 3 years. The tax on Notional rental income for builders has been proposed to calculate only after 1 year from the end of the year in which completion certificate is received. Some changes in Capital Gain taxation for immovable properties have also been proposed to take effect, as holding period reduced for computation of long-term capital gain from three years

KANPUR (GN News): 15 coaches (including 13 sleepers and two general) of Sealdah-Ajmer express derailed between Rura and Maitha Stations at 05:22 AM near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh today. At least 2 persons have been killed and more than 60 passengers were injured in the mishap. According to the Railway ministry’s sources, the Accident Relief Train and Accident Relief Medical Van from Allahabad, Kanpur and Tundla rushed to the site for rescue operations. Government of India cancels FCRA licences of 20,000 NGOs

  New Delhi. The government of India has canceled the FCRA licenses of about 20,000 Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). The FCRA license is meant for getting contributions from foreign agencies, which is regulated under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010 (FCRA). According to the home ministry sources, these licenses have been canceled due to the violation of the said Act. Now these NGOs will not be able to receive foreign donations. Now there are only 13,000 FCRA licensed NGOs in the country, which can receive foreign funding.

New Delhi (Sputnik): India’s busiest airport, the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, is embracing robotics for cleaning aircraft. The Nordic Dino robot, to be procured from Sweden’s Aviator, will first be used at Terminal 3 of IGI for washing narrow-body aircraft. The first machine is expected to arrive in February next year and start operations by April. Around 100 airplanes are washed at the IGI every day. It takes at least 10 hours, 20 persons and gallons of water as well as high lifts, ladders, hefty brushes and quite a bit of muscle to clean one aircraft.
