New Delhi- The election commission of India in a historic judgment here today held that the party and its official symbol cycle belong to Akhilesh Yadav faction. The election commission of India was of the view that, since there is no break-up in the party the official party symbol “Cycle” could not be freeze. The decision in favour of Akhilesh came only when both the warring factions were told to submit the affidavit regarding support of legislators in their favour.

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party’s crisis is deepening and a split seems to be inevitable. In a press conference, the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav announced here today the expulsion of the state’s Chief Minister and his son Akhilesh Yadav with latter’s aide Ram Gopal Yadav from the party for six years. This decision was taken after Ram Gopal’s move to call a national convention of the party without consulting him and releasing of a parallel party’s candidates list for upcoming assembly polls. “Mulayam termed Ram Gopal Yadav’s move to call a national executive meeting of the Samajwadi Party on 1st January 2017 as illegal and unconstitutional.
